The Sunday Picture Show... (8-10-2014)

Next up would be a knife that I pondered about for awhile. Then a I got a deal I could not refuse. The damascus blade is exceptional and it is absolutely amazing how the make them.

My wildlife picture is from my camping trip in New Hampshire I have a habit of waking up at 5 am not a seemed like I was the only one up not even the sun.
So I went fishing and caught nothing except for this beautiful sunrise which made it worth it.

Happy Sunday to all and great pictures of some great Buck Knives. I recently picked up this custom Buck 317 with Purple Heart scales and nickel bolsters by Joe Houser.

I spent my morning picking blackberries behind my barn along the fence line. Blackberries grow wild like crazy here in Oregon. I have around 1000' or so of fence line that is engulfed in blackberries and only picked around 70' this morning. This year we have had a bumper crop of wild blackberries and they have been huge in size. I have been picking a bucket every morning for a couple weeks now but they are starting to dry up a bit so we probably only have about a week left of picking. My wife makes some killer blackberry and blueberry cobbler as well as we make quite a bit of jam and freeze quite a bit for later. I also picked a couple buckets of cucumbers and squash this morning out of the garden.

Today while digging through my knives for a birthday present for our son, I noticed the similar handles on a Harvest Series Waterfowler, and a Thug!
The Waterfowler is like a baby brother :D
Perhaps I should nickname it the "Punklet"

For the boy's birthday knife, I have narrowed it down to either a 119 or an Alpha Folder.

Here is my "wild" tomato garden, instead of planting them this year, we just started watering, and let the seeds from last season's fallen tomatoes grow on their own. Tons of plants and tomatoes :)

To go with the other 301's, here is mine, it has been in my pocket for weeks :)
Great cutter and great knife!

Just to get started, here is another custom 305 to go along with ITE's. It came with no information. I've posted these pictures before and Tin Sue suggested that the maker might be Bash Dani.

500 Duke "Still the Land of the Free" silkscreened (?) on the blade.
I would like to hear from anyone who knows if this was a factory project and who it was done for.
It has a 2002 blade but the covered label on the box was originally 5-11-04.
I've not found it on the special projects lists.

Great show today everybody. Great pictures. Plenty of time for many more.

Here I have a pair of Buck 110 barehead stags with nickel silver bolsters and distressed brown leather sheaths.

On Friday my wife and I and 2 of our boys went up to the Mt Hood Adventure Park up on Mt Hood here in Oregon for a day of bungee jumping, 800' zip line, alpine sliding and more. What a beautiful mountain and what a great time.

On the way home from a knife collectors meeting In south west of Germany I am sitting in the train. No chance to take a new picture. Here's an old one with my three Kalingas.

Unique Mod on that 110! That Damascus Paradigm is real nice. Could those 305's be Dorris Yazzie?
Here's a pair of 500 series Mammoth scaled that just split up, and a Vantage with Stabilized Maple Burl loose end that finally got tied up.

I have recently been bitten by the Buck Bug!

Here are a few 70's era classics!

Here is the 103 by itself. It is a four micarta spacer model.

Here is the 110 with a single dot on each side of the 110. •110•

Here are 2 other 110's and a 112 that I recently picked up as well!

A family photo of recently acquired Bucks!

Here are a few that you do not see to often, and since there have been so many pictures of the 501's posted I will wait to post mine for a little bit, JB if you cannot get anything done with your 501 I will trade you one of my plain frames for the one you have and will make it my carry knife. I planned on a carry and a safe queen.

This is an older picture but I have been away from home do to work so no time for new pictures. These where picked up at the twenty year event. HL

Here is a twin set from my archived photos. I haven't seen these in a while, but I know I still have them.

I've been playing with that 110 I posted earlier today on the SPS. I have to say that I am liking it more all the time. It flips open easily and locks tight. The guy that built it got it working right….even though I still think it looks goofy. I made up my mind to keep it just the way it is though. :)

Just got home from a weekend in Charlotte - this Buck 301 came in the mail just as we were leaving Friday morning - had to get out of the car and go put it in the garage and then wait until tonight to open it and take a picture. First version 301 as built by Camillus. OH

Ps Nice stuff you guys are showing, going to take some time and look back through at leisure now that I have my photo done.
