The Sunday Picture Show... (8-26-2018) . . . (OLD Show Look at the DATE...

Like clockwork, another Sunday Picture Show and more great Buck knives! Thank you ITE, it's nice to have things to look forward to and this show is one of mine.

Here is the August 2018 Buck of the Month. It's my first BOTM and it's a little gem. I really like this one. Nice work Buck, thank you.

Thanks for the date. Yes I could see this as a SMKW offering. The Paul Bunyon knife in my collection also has the same woodgrain pattern box. I have the Farmer and Space Exploration knives. They are very different in that the blades are superficially pad printed or etched. This Railroader knife is deep relief etched, kinda like the early Aurum Wildlife knives. 1989 would have been about the end of the line for Aurum, I wonder if these blades were done there. The last knife Aurum did for Buck was the Chuck Buck 103 and that production run was not completed. Is there any documentation on this, just seems too rare for a true 1,000 production. /Roger

Today I'm taking Dutch and doing some training. He has no problem finding and retrieving birds, deciding just which Buck knife to take on hunts;) Preston

Thanks, Don, No, he's a bird dog. Waterfowl and upland(he points), dove opens here Saturday, early teal the next week. I know he'd retrieve other game but when I'm hunting, especially upland I want him to concentrate on birds. Not rabbit, gophers, mice, etc.
Here he is with a rooster from 2017(last day of the season) and a B & C 118. Preston

Ya, mine never hunted the little varments. I had Lab cross with Shepard mainly they would do dry ground bird's, deer, bear... I had a cocker loved the birds and we'd take him to the beach at night and he would catch Grunion in the surf...Ha!Ha! It was a funny sight him biting at the surf and come up with a fish, head in his mouth and the tail slapping him in the nose, He'd drop it by my feet and go get another. Ha!Ha!

Your dog is good lookin!!! Nice Rooster!! Dove opens here Sat also...
