I waited a long time for one of these to come along! I love the wood handled versions! Now all I have to do is find a mini mentor with wood, and no cutout! :D

Does anyone remember what BCCI newsletter has the info on SP knives? I cannot locate how many of these were made and for who??? Thank you for any help!

I like the stag knives and Harley theme again ITE ;)

Too cool!!

Thats a cool 503, youcanneverhave2manyknives!!! :D

110, NS bolsters and liners, with Stone Canyon Jasper scales courtesy of rock solid genius Michael Hoover (Art in Stone).

It tips the scale @ 7.72 ounces, 219 grams (my old two dot 110 weighs 7.69 oz, 218 grams).

Notice how the stone swells nicely mid-handle in 2nd pic (fat rock).

Sweet knives so far guys! I was just in Gettysburg a couple of weeks ago...a great place to visit to get some history. I've got some cool new (old) 110s, and I'll try to post pics later. Right now I'm hard at work.

Normally, I don't go for the modern knives but this one is one of my favorites for sheer elegance.

Now I will also toss this into the show. I stopped at the Wally in Fernly NV, as I was there to get some stuff, may as well see the knife display. Very few Buck knives;(. However, they did have two Vantage models. One with plastic handles and one with gray wood. The plastic was 34.00:( the gray wood 19.00:).

It being my birthday week and all and I'm 200+ miles from home (alone:(), I said "MR. Wally clerk let me see that Buck with the wood handle". He said "Ok, your in luck I have about 10 boxes of that one to choose from". Let's see them all I want to pick out the one with the best looking wood.

Mr. Wally clerk opens the first one and dumps it on the counter and it's the plastic handled one....then the next and the next and so on. The clerk takes his scanner gun and checks the barcode label and it shows it's the wood version for $19. Jackpot the ninth box contains the correct knife. out of the 10 box's 8 were labeled as the wood version and two were labeled as the plastic version. So I take the only wood one, heck at only $19 you can't go wrong. (I did try to get the clerk and his manager to sell me one of the $34 plastic jobs at $19 as marked, birthday and all.....no go).

So here is a $19 345 gray dymondwood vantage. Sweet knife for the price!

jb, that just confirms what I suspected about those when I got a few off of ebay awhile back. No one from Buck confirmed it, but I believed that the orange dot on the box gave away the fact that they were going to be Walmart offerings.

They are really nice, especially for the money. Here's some of the one's I got.

Here's one that I'd been looking for for sometime. I finally found a really nice specimen for a very reasonable price. It's only the second 124 that I have, the first one a stag handled LE. I don't know much about this one except that it's pre-'86 and the guard and pommel seem to be NS and not aluminum like most of my other 100 series fixed blades. Is that correct and can anyone pin the age down any closer?

I'm sorry about the bad picture quality.

Here and there the blade etching is not visible
(second black, second red and second blue one from the left)

Will take better pictures next time.

Those 124's look good, Dave.

Nice old 110's, Imafritz.

Nice bunch of little Bucks, Haebbie.

Out at the camp site and took some time out for the SPS. Buck Vanguard.

I don't have fancy custom knives, nor take fine pictures like what shows here, just some action pictures of knives I like. But I sure enjoy seeing what you guys and gals put up for show. Very nice knives each week and super job on the photos. Also, prayers for comfort go for the families mentioned today.
