The Sunday Picture Show... (8-29-2010)

Here's one that I'd been looking for for sometime. I finally found a really nice specimen for a very reasonable price. It's only the second 124 that I have, the first one a stag handled LE. I don't know much about this one except that it's pre-'86 and the guard and pommel seem to be NS and not aluminum like most of my other 100 series fixed blades. Is that correct and can anyone pin the age down any closer?]

Your 124 has aluminum guard and pommel (it's just mint and shiny) and has BUCK's "Pakawood" (impregnated Birch) scales. It was made between December 1982 and December 1985. Can't narrow it down any further, sorry.

503 re-scaled with Coolabah (sometimes spelt Coolibah)

2MK, coool looking 503, I like that Coolabah re-scaled job... Nice pics... ITE

I waited a long time for one of these to come along! I love the wood handled versions! Now all I have to do is find a mini mentor with wood, and no cutout! :D

I like the stag knives and Harley theme again ITE ;)

Too cool!!

As always very nice buck knives folks!

For this SPS a 639 in stag (gota love it).

So here is a $19 345 gray dymondwood vantage. Sweet knife for the price!

John, Happy Birthday, first off... That's one Sick stag handle 639 you got... Love it... Good deal on the Vantage too... I'm going to Walmart soon, to see what we have here in SD... Great pics ... Thanks for sharing .... ITE :)

jb, that just confirms what I suspected about those when I got a few off of ebay awhile back. No one from Buck confirmed it, but I believed that the orange dot on the box gave away the fact that they were going to be Walmart offerings.

They are really nice, especially for the money. Here's some of the one's I got.

Great Pics Dave... You got some nice colors on those Vantages... I need to get me a few more now... I really like the one I got from BP... ITE

I just realized that I'd never taken pictures of the stag 124, so here it is.

Dave, Great looking 124s you got... Love that 3 liner and the stag one is sweet too...

Thanks for sharing... ITE ... :D
