The Sunday Picture Show... (9-13-2020) . . . (OLD Show Look at the DATE...)

Two most recent additions. The Skinner is pinned pommel. The 119 is barrel nut and the sheath has the horizontal stitching on the back.

Blem version of the Buck 196 Mini Alpha in CPM 154. These are fantastic knives.
The Box Elder Burl looks chiseled.
Best part of a FB blade, especially a Legacy Edition is there is no guilt in using and the lower price point. Im not sure what the blem is on this knife. Made a back pocket sheath for it.16000167604571813695840009060885.jpg 16000164797543680603140023710687.jpg 16000165307106274255069988808146.jpg 16000165632012423530452225066475.jpg 16000165950566049342323680189719.jpg 16000166213795607977770385978213.jpg

A model 185 BuckMaster LT. Same blade as the 184 BuckMaster but with a skeletonized rubber coated handle. 6,000 of these were made from 1986-1989. Not my normal cup of tea but I drove a long way with money burning a hole in my pocket and the price was right.

Happy SPS to one and All,

Thank you to all of the folks who partake in this show each week and to Armand who is the dedicated host, Sir you have created a legacy event here words can't describe my gratitude (thank you my Buck brother).

Here is a photo for this weeks theme

Here are a few more that came to live with me for awhile

(repost from 2017) I have a MFK. To me it looks like a short M9 but does not have a bayonet attachment on the handle. I believe the MFK to be the commercial retail version of the CUK. I found reference that about 4,000 blades were made by Buck about 1991. Mine is marked "Pat Pend/USA", etched not stamped. there is also the dolphin etched on the blade. My plastic sheath is without any markings. I wonder if these were about the last blades Buck did for Phrobis before they went separate ways. At separation, Buck bought out Phrobis's inventory and sold it off. My box shows that the Phrobis address was covered over with stickers. Later MFK's were made by Marto in Spain. Other pictures I have seen of the MFK show that it came with 3 different guards the user could interchange to suit. The knife breaks down easily into 4 parts. The handle, guard, and rod/nut on mine are lightweight plastic and feel kinda "cheap". Not sure how durable they are.187.MFK.0417 (2).JPG 187.MFK.0417 (3).JPG 187.MFK.0417 (4).JPG 187.MFK.0417 (5).jpg 187.MFK.0417 (6).JPG 187.MFK.0417 (8).JPG

First order of business, I want to echo the sentiments of appreciation expressed to ITE for hosting and continuing the SPS, which in my opinion, is a premium feature in this forum. And it's success wouldn't be happening either if not for the people sharing their treasures, which is a good news/bad news thing for me, because in the short time that I've been here, it's caused me me to grow my Buck accumulation by at least 5 fold, as seen in the growing pile of yellow and black boxes... oh darn

And now.. on with the show.
