heres a 620 stripped, imo the coating looks like shite Lanyard holes add to handle. Altho there were pr drilled for them in the blade why buck didn't use the in the handles is interesting

My son gifted me a 620 a few years ago and I kept it as a truck Buck. One day a few weeks ago I had to trim some high weeds and couldn't find my machete. The 620 was handy and I used it...To many hours and no gloves I got a blister on my index finger that still has a bumpy scar tissue lol!

Where and when did you get that? Those are the perfect blade shapes.

I just got it recently from a private collection. AG Russell and Buck made 3 runs of these canoe knives in the early 2000's. One with black pearl, one with stag and one with mammoth. All have a 154 cm spear point and a s30v wharncliffe blade. The stag and pearl ones are still available on the AG website, but they are not cheap.

The AG Russell in Mastodon or Black Pearl is on my very,very short list of non112's fancy Bucks I hope to buy used at a 'Relative Bargain' ..I admire Buck for LE's like this because they are a true work of art and a great example of classic pattern.
