View attachment 977482 This is a 30 yr BCCI Anniversary Aluminum 110 with a 20 year old Buckcote blade. The chisel sharpened blade is coated with Titanium Nitride (TiN). This coating is applied to drills, taps, tool bits, etc. for wear resistance. The 82 HRC coating is exposed on the micro edge. Because it is harder than the blade, the blade wears away in preference to the coating, and the blade is self sharpening.

as always great stuff Sirs. thanks.

got this recently. I'm not much of a total package collector. I dont hold on to boxes and such but got it at a decent price.....so I'll make an exception and keep it all together so if I let it go next fella gets it all......

New sheath for the Thug. This one is saddle leather I split in my garage. I think I need to sharpen my splitter. I had my foot on my bench and vice grips on the leather. But the piece I was splitting was near the edge and tough doesn't describe it. Lol
