On Easter Sunday (April 5) in 1722, Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen discovers Easter Island.

Easter Island, Rapa Nui (native) or Isla de Pascua (official Spanish name) is located in the Southern Pacific Ocean 2,200 miles West of the coast of Chile. Annexed by Chile in 1888 as a special territory, the Rapa Nui were given Chilean citizenship in 1966.
Easter Island is the most remote inhabited island in the world, the nearest inhabited neighbor being Pitcairn Island 1,289 miles away. It is a volcanic island with an area of 63 square miles and elevation of 1,663'. 2017 census was 7,750 with 45% identifying as native Rapa Nui.

303 & 309 Boone & Crockett Combo in Green Paperstone. Documented on the 2009 Special Projects List with a build quantity of 2,500. You would think with that many it would be an easy find but not for me, I looked for years. Craig Sly ( DOGPOUND77 DOGPOUND77 ) helped me with this one. There is a matching 301 which I have but it is camera shy (couldn't find it).

Happy Easter SPS,

Thank you Roger for hosting and Thanks to all who post to the show.

Here is my favorite Easter Bunny, I'm happy to post her every year (hope she sees it from the otherside of the Rainbow Bridge).

Thank you Roger for doing the Sunday Picture Show and the Archaeology lesson. Easter Island has some wall work that is reminiscent of Machu Picchu. Here are a couple 110 format folders that utilize Valox (Polybutylene Terephthalate) injection molded scales. The Selector has a BG-42 blade that has been modified for Selector use. The Bucklite has a handle that has been modified to use a regular BG-42 blade.

Thanks for the SPS Roger, and I hope everyone's having a Happy Easter with family. Our kids, grandkids & siblings are scattered all over the country, so our holiday get togethers are usually FaceTiming, or texting back and forth.
And a pic of one of my lightweight Summer carries for this rainy Easter morning.
