Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

On this Day. August 11th-16th, 1965. The Watts Riots.
Watts was a Los Angeles neighborhood. The prime incident was the arrest of a young black man for drunken driving. He resisted arrest (apparently aIded by his mother) and the mele gathered a crowd of onlookers fueling feelings of police brutality. The riots resulted in the deaths of 34 people, more than 1,000 injuries, and 3,400 arrests. 14,000 National Guard troops were brought in to bring the riots under control. Hundreds of buildings and whole city blocks were burned to the ground in fires set by the rioters. Firefighters were unable to work, because police could not protect them from the rioters. Wiki Link for more in depth understanding.

The 108 Froe is one of my "working" Bucks.
It has a permanent home in the junk box on the back of our Kawasaki Mule.
Hate the Froe sheath, so awkward to use.

The model 104 Camp Knife, 106 Axe, and 108 Froe were introduced in the 2015 catalog as the Compadre Series.
Red powder coated 5160 spring steel with a Heritage Walnut Dymondwood handle. (stock photo)

This 3 piece Compadre set was the deal of the century when Sam's Club was selling them for $99.
They came in a handy nylon roll up pack. My brother in law had a Sam's membership and ordered me 2 sets,
one set for the collection and one for the camper.
Could not find in my database (????) so not sure of the year. No later than 2018.
