Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

This week I have a model 919 Jim Cabela's Skinner. Black Paperstone handle with a cross hatch pattern. The blade is thick along the spine, perhaps 1/4", I'll measure tomorrow if I get a chance. This knife is documented on the 2012 Special Projects list with a build quantity of 500. The box mine came in has an August 2013 date. There are 3 other variations that I know of, Stag, Rosewood, and Buffalo horn with Bocote trim. If there are any other variations, please comment. Hopefully others have the variations to show. (and before anyone asks, 714 is my inventory sticker)

Good morning 🌞.
Thanks Roger, you do a heck of a job!

Here's my 919 from my Sunday morning sitting spot.
It was from a web blast a few years back.

The blade on this thing is thick.

I'm not sure slicey it would be, tho it sure fits the hand well for being such a small fixed blade.
Thanks.

On this day in history in 1918, Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW), is established as a public company in Germany.

In the spirit of tenuous connections, here's a 302 sitting on a helmet, sitting on a BMW motorcycle :D

Thru careful modification of this 301's secondary blades, the spey became a spear and it's point is no longer proud of the frame when closed. :D

The sheepfoot blade became more of a wharncliffe, so now all blades sit flush with one another. The blade spines and bolster corners were slightly rounded. 🤔

These minor changes were done to make this a kinder, more comfortable knife in hand and pocket. 😎
There is no blade rap or rub and this Dymondwood model 301... is mine. 🙂

Thanks everyone for keeping the Sunday Picture Show alive and well. I've been kind of slow at getting on the forum for a while. I was diagnosed with leukemia several years ago and have been holding that at bay. But now I've been diagnosed with a secondary cancer and finally recovering from 5 weeks of radiation treatment. Enough about me. The little Gen5 in the picture was a Cabela's special, high polish 420HC and a grey Buckeye burl.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday afternoon. Let's see a few more Bucks!

Good looking vegetables with a great knife!

I lost a close friend to cancer at the age of 16, and watching him go thru that was one of the hardest things I've witnessed a person go thru.

Stay strong my friend!
👍
