I like sets. This Red Bone Set is probably my fanciest. Really nice Jigged Red Bone and the bolsters are engraved on both sides. They are serialized, on the main blade just above the tang stamp. I believe these were a Smoky Mountain issue. Not found in the Special projects list but Craig (300bucks) told me he thought there were about 600 sets. Anyone out there have a Smoky Mountain catalog from 1988/1989?

Another set for the show. 2005 Idaho's. Has anyone ever seen a 2005 Idaho 310 Whittler. Not sure if I have, wonder if I need to add it to the "list".

Another set for the show. 2005 Idaho's

Here is a 303 from 2005, maybe 2006. It has no Idaho stamp on the sheepsfoot, and there is no date code on the main blade. I don't know if Buck ran out of the stamped sheepsfoot or if someone used the wrong blade.

Buck made some 312s with smooth blue bone. Most of these were for an ABCA limited edition and were stamped "ABCA Limited Edition" on the blade. Those knives were in two variations—with either a serial number stamped on the front bolster or with a life member number on the bolster. My favorites are those with no blade stamp and there were two variations—plain or with engraved bolsters. I am still looking for the engraved bolster knife.

In 1989 Buck made the N1 Series of knives with serrated blades. The 317 is the least common of the series—only 700 were made.

Wasn‘t that a Buck of the month? I don’t know. It is a 829 Marksman Elite. 250 have been made.

ahhh youre right. it was limited made run that mimics the early protype for the 830. awesome example of a marksman. I missed these so dont have one. love the blade on that one.
