The Sunday Picture Show (August 15, 2021)

I'm really pleased with my 2 Forum 301's, a real bargain for the price. 2018 Custom for Blade Forum with 2 blades instead of 3 and Elk handles. The Sheepsfoot blade is set too high on one. I keep thinking about sending it in to be corrected. I foolishly ran a file accross the heel of the blade and it just skated. Does anyone recall if the total number of these issued was announced?

I think this is an interesting 303, not so much the knife itself but its history. This model was the first China Buck knife and the only one to use the original USA model number. It was made in 2004 and then in 2005 the number was changed to the 373.

What I have on me.... Waiting for the Tiger game so I can see Miggy hit #500.View attachment 1620429
Keweenaw Brewing company sent me on an internet search. That wasn't there when I lived in Houghton. Considering I moved from the U.P. in 1984, there is probably a lot of stuff there that wasn't there when I was :p

Some 301's:

There sure are some really great knives and some interesting information being posted today.

Here is a set you rarely see. Scrimshaw by Dale Fisk.

You can barely make out Dale Fisk on the right side. He did a seminar at the 30th BCCI gathering in Post Falls in 2018 and is shown here talking about doing these knives.

Hi All & Happy SPS. Thank you Roger for hosting the show and to everyone who takes the time to post and comment, well each of you take a bow to a loud round of appluase. I know a little over the top. however, I'm a bit sleep deprived.

How many does it take to make a seires? Well this old photo has more than one so I guess it will work for 300s

Yeah Houghton/ Hancock is a cool town in the UP. Great people too.
With Finlandia and Michigan Tech there it's also has a great little college vibe you wouldn't expect out in the middle of nowhere.
The Keweenaw Brewing draft house is awesome.
That area is one of my favorite places. I'm a bit of a history nut soo......, there's lots there.

Was hoping to make it up there this year........... oh well.
It seems as soon as you go over the bridge, your in a different world.
Things like that are what life is all about!

Back on topic:
I really like those yellow 300's. and those B&C ones are nice too.
Thanks for the pics guys. Nice knives.
Thanks again DeSoto. I admire your commitment.

Here are the 3 "BUCK" toothpicks. None actually made by Buck.
Top 385, about 15 different handle variations, still current, China.
Middle 386, etched smooth bone, c.2012, China. Part of the annual "Hooked on Fishing" series at Smoky Mountain.
Bottom 333, Camillus, 1999, Stagalon (plastic), also came in jigged bone.

The 315s don't show up here very often.
I have a few that I'll show today. I've showed them before...probably show them again and again 😁
First is a NIB Yachtsman that I found in a case some years ago.
Next is one that I screwed up taking it apart, sent to Leroy to put back together and cover with Ram's Horn.
Last is one that I bought from a member here that has Swordfish Bill scales and scrimshawed by Dale Fisk.
