Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

Happy Holidays from St Louis to all my Buck forum friends. This show marks the end of my first year as host. I have truly enjoyed throwing out the first pitch every week and look forward to another year. Thank you to all who have supported and contributed to the Sunday Picture Show. The Gateway arch is a 623' (190m) stainless steel monument on the St Louis waterfront. The Arch symbolizes St Louis as the Gateway to the West during our countries westward growth and expansion during the 1800's.

This weeks knife is 1 of 100 Buck 120 Generals done for the 2007 NRA Convention in St Louis that year. Interesting that it has the 2005 Idaho logo. I chose it this week for the St Louis logo on the handle. It always bugged me a little that the NRA supported St Louis with a large convention as the city is a bit anti gun and does not allow gun shows within the city limits... I guess money talks when attracting conventions. I rubbed chalk on the logo so it would show better.

My second knife this week is a 503 Prince in jigged Impala Horn. There were 4 in this series offered in the 1991 catalog. 500, 501, 503, and 505.
Bareheads always make a uniquely attractive knife. The other unique feature is the "filework". A feature normally only seen on the BuckLocks.
Not actually filed, the features are cast into the frames. Buck has used the term "Impala" on several knives and I have never really come to terms if is actually Impala horn, bone, or jigged Buffalo horn. If anyone can clarify that, please do.

Roger,

Like you, I was a little confused about these impala knives. They were marketed as "Siberian Impala", which makes it all the more confusing since there are no impalas native to anywhere near Siberia. They are a W B Cody design and he clarified the Siberian Impala question for me. The material came from a game farm in Siberia. I have all four of the models and here is a 501. They are great looking knives.

Roger, truly hard to believe that it's been a year with you doing the Sunday Picture Show. Thank you, you have done yeoman's work and it's much appreciated. The same goes for all who post photos and comment within the thread each week.

That photo of St. Louis and the Arch is fantastic. I was in St. Louis last year at this time visiting my brother and went to the Arch. It is an impressive, spectacular monument.

This is one of a series of 192s Buck produced for A G Russell.
