"The world has never seen better soldiers than those who followed Lee, and their leader will undoubtedly rank, without exception, as the very greatest of all the great captains that the English-speaking peoples have brought forth." Theodore Roosevelt on Robert E. Lee

At the risk of being banned from this forum forever I have to say I am amazed and saddened by the reverence and admiration some pay to traitors to the United States.
I personally would not ban you for your opinion. I would not say the same for your "Woke" agenda and narrative that wants to cancel past history. Where did you get reverance and admiration from a couple of pictures of knives? I feel sorry for you.

I absolutely adore these SPS threads!

Wow, think about that, the first two iron clads with 5-8" thick plates, shooting at each other for 4 hours....BOOM...BONK....BOOOM....BONK. Over and over again, you would think somebody would have figured out it wasn't working after the first hour of boom-bonks was having no effect, lol.

GPyro GPyro bertl bertl The fun part of owning a Paradigm is showing it to someone so you can watch their bemused struggle to open it.
I couldn't agree more. The girls were back for Christmas a few weeks ago and I handed my Paradigm over to the youngest, who has started a career in law enforcement. It was quite fun to watch her struggle with it. 😁 At least now she'll know what to do if she comes across one on the street.

Thanks Roger for the SPS.

I looked at the first post early this morning and started digging into as much history of the USS Monitor vs. CSS Virginia (Merrimack) battle as I could find. That led me to the Duke University expedition 50 years ago that found the wreck off of Cape Hatteras. Now I want to visit the Mariners Museum in Newport News VA and see the artifacts that have been recovered. Nice job DeSotoSky!

Ps I think we should always allow the ignorant to post here; study and discussion is the only way they will ever learn to overcome their ignorance.

For the last SPS of the year I'm going to pay homage to my most used Buck Knife in 2023, a basic 345 Vantage made in 2019 and bought at a hardware store. Due to our move this past summer I cannot begin to think of the many times it cut packing materials for the pack-up job, and then opened boxes, and then cut those boxes up for the recycling dumpster. As many other odd jobs around the house and yard as you can imagine. It is also a go-to bait cutting knife (along with a favorite 110LT) - this one has done all that was asked of it. OH
