The Sunday Picture Show (February 26, 2023)

Happy SPS!!!

On the farm today getting the equipment ready for spring. My Kubota won't start. One of the gazillion safety switches I presume. The ol' IH is always ready to roll though!

Carrying an 838 today. I hate Cerakote on a blade. Makes a great knife look like an old Chinese beater after a little use. First time using it I was cutting up cardboard and wore the paint off the first 3/4" of blade. Great knife otherwise though.

I've shown this a gazillion times. Since there are so few, and the aluminum 111 came up, why not the brass one?

I better get back to work on this tractor...

Thanks for hosting the Sunday Picture Show Roger, here are some old pictures of my Buck Nessmuk. I picked this up off the big auction site about 5 years ago with no history on it. I assume that there were extra blades left over from the TC run and this was one of them.

Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

This week I'm showing a model 110, the TC No. 5. I have copied the description from the February 1995 Newsletter.
T. C. RAMHORN HUNTER - Produced for Thompson/Center Arms. Rochester, NH. A model #110 Folding Hunter with a standard satin finish engraved blade, standard brass sides with ramhorn inlays. Packaged in a custom box with a burgundy embossed leather sheath. Serialized 001/250.
It can be found listed in the 1995 Special Projects list. Original MSRP was $111. I was really fortunate to snag this 110 from one of Larry Oden's consignment lists. In 2005 (20 years later) Buck made another knife for Thompson Center, the elusive No. 15 Nessmuk. 150 Nessmuk's were made. It's on my unobtanium list.

Hi All, happy SPS! Thank you Roger for these weekly events and thank you to everyone who posts photos or adds to the conversations

TC #15 & #5

Wow gents, very nice T/C marked Buck Knives! I am a longtime fan of T/C blackpowder firearms, but never obtained (or knew of) their limited run Buck Knives. OH

I'd like to hear more about that beautiful muzzle loader!
Thanks! I’m stretching my memory to remember the details. What I can tell for sure is that my brother bought it new when T/C introduced this model (The Hunter - I think). It has a four digit serial number, being made the first year. He sold it to me about 15 years ago when they introduced an improved version The Pro-Hunter (also “I think”). It can take two 60 grain pellets of T-7, I use a saboted 240 grain 44 MAG Hornady XTP over the pellets and a T-7 Winchester Primer. It is surprisingly accurate, but slow to reload. OH
