The Sunday Picture Show (July 20th, 2025)

Thank you Roger for your hosting and teaching efforts. I can’t figure out why the earth is flat, and the moon is spherical. Maybe the landing was fake. This take apart Aluminum club knife has desert Ironwood scales and a custom Stellite 6-K blade by Brian Harrison.IMG_3692.jpeg

I have a 319 buried somewhere that would take me forever to find. Instead, here are pictures of Polaroids of 1) My oldest sister and me, 2) My Mom, younger brother and other older sister, 3) Missing photo (one of my siblings has it) of my Dad and littler sister holding newspapers. Exciting times!

Good Sunday morning, all! Thank you all for sharing your nice looking Buck knives. And thank you, Roger for hosting. Space travel has always been a fascinating subject for me. My paternal grandfather worked as a machinist at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL back in the late 60s. He made parts for the propulsion systems on many Apollo-era rockets, including Apollo 11. I wasn't born yet (I'm a 76 model), but I'm sure those were very exciting times.

No 319s in my collection, so here's one I've been carrying lately:

While Armstrong and the Apollo 11 gang were on the moon in June of 1969, I was in a lookout cabin @ 8860 feet above sea level in the Prairie Reef lookout cabin, the most remote fire lookout in the United States. It is in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area west of Great Falls, Montana. I did not own a BUCK knife at that time, but I do now.

Great show, there is still more time for more....
Must be no one actually reads what I write.
I had a typo in my On This Day history, "June 20th" instead of the correct "July 20th"
I guess it really is just about the pictures.... 🤣

I didn't want to mention it. There are more important things in life, and I knew what you meant.

Bert
I did not notice, but still knew what you meant ;):D

I definitely read it but didn’t catch it. Then again my reading comprehension before morning coffee is limited. The SPS is the first thing I do on Sunday morning while drinking coffee.😂
