Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

Happy SPS to All the Buck Nuts! Thank you Roger for hosting this weekly event for a;; of us to enjoy. Also thanks to all who post photos and add to the conversations.

Here is the Utah gold etched 110, the book and old tintype photo are about my Great Great Grandfather Robert Taylor Burton (look him up on Wikipedia)

Thank you Roger for another SPS.
I don't have a notable 110 but here's a flipper that was rescued from a pawn shop for the following reasons. The blade was in such poor condition (deepest scratches still visible) it was available at a give away price. I thought it might be a fun project. At one time I had worked for a bearing manufacturer but didn't own a knife with bearings and just because it's a Buck.

Have an enjoyable Sunday all!

Thanks Roger once again for the SPS, and to everyone here that participates.

Here's my etched knife.
A Joe Houser custom Gen5 etched with a Bobwhite quail.

For Sunday, I'll share my 1992 Bucklite 426, with a story.

Problem is I don't know the story.

Picked it up off a gun show dealer who buys bulk confiscations and dumps em all out on the table for people to sift through. Mostly trash, but this caught my eye.

Three different names are scratched into the knife. "BARTMAN" the stamp side of the blade, "BARTHELEMY" opposite, "JARDIN" in the grip spine. The butt is crudely emblazoned with the number "6139".

I've done some searching, but found nothing to make sense of this. Are they one person's full name? Names of family members who had it passed down? Is the number a BSA troop number, an address, last 4 digits of SSN?

I have no idea. I was simply going to send it for reblade but, now, I feel like that would take something away from it.

Was hoping to find the previous owner, and even return it to them. So far, no luck.

I would guess it belonged to a guy named Barthelemy and he had the nickname batman. Bartman may be a reference to an early Simpsons character. I would guess they went to HS/ College/ Military in the early 90s. Not much online for jardin. Someone who went to Columbia? Last 4 of a social?
