Lol, it is a serious clip. I’ve used it now and again. It’s has a use me feel when holding it. Unlike some of the others I’ve had.

What a gorgeous knife, really stunning stag and serious clip point.

We dodged a forest fire Friday evening. The fire grew from 5 acres to 50 in an hour. They had to evacuate 8000 people from an amusement park because of the fire. It was less than a mile from my home. the helicopters were picking up water from a small lake above my house. This helicopter was flying over my house. Luckily they got it under control quickly before it spread too much. At one point I counted 4 airplanes and 4 helicopters fighting the fire. THANKS TO ALL FIRE FIGHTERS!!!!!!!!

no bucktool lives in north idaho----we have about 25 major fires going around us up here right now---it is not good only july...

scary stuff there. stay safe Sir. hoping those fire crews are gonna come out okay. those fires out west are brutal. y'all need some of this rain we are gettin everyday. speaking of rain.....

I'm a filthy mess. was clearing out vines growing as if on steroids from all the rain and the muck against the fence and pressure washing the back patio today. knife stayed clean in my pocket. rest of me is a mess. time to clean up my tools and head inside to clean up. wife aint gonna be happy when i step inside....bettin she makes me strip down at the door first.

Hi All & Happy SPS,

Just got home from work been looking at all of your fantastic photo's and enjoying the show! Thank you Roger for hosting this each week, Also a hardy thanks to each of you who has taken the time to post to the show. When I started to only collect Buck knives it was 196 mini Alpha's, then I found a stag 192 Vanguard, next was the Duke 500 and the only model I have more of is the 110 it's king of course. So I will add a few more Dukes to you folks show.

The very first custom SO Duke was for the AZ Fish & Game in 1979, followed by the AZ HP (not looker's but Historical)




This knives etch made me fall in love with the 500 and I was hooked



Here is the true Historical Duke 500's each of the handles is made from wood taken from the resoration of what is etched on the blade

jb4570 That is a fantastic run of special knives and that USS Constitution especially grabs me... I think I have a new grail! Hope to find one someday.

Here is a repost from earlier this year but I think well worth repeating. This knife can be found on the 1984 Special Projects list and is called "3 ducks in Flight II (large Dog)". These were done for Sears with an issue of 2000. There was another similar issue for Sears with the same etch but the dog was smaller. The wonderful engraving by George Sherwood is aftermarket and not original to the Sears issue.
