The Sunday Picture Show (June 12, 2022)

The last Harley I had was a 1956 K Model. This mahogany 102 may have been made a year later in 1957. I traded a Model 70 30-06 for it—a bad trade. The first ride was a bit of an adventure. The friend I traded with lived in Saratoga, over the mountains from Laramie. We headed back to Laramie in the dark. The only problem was that the headlight on the Harley didn't work. The plan was for me to go first and use the headlights of my friend behind. That was fine until we hit switchback curves and suddenly I was in pitch black.

Nice! Is that from the Custom Shop?
Nope.
Amazon. Yep.
2 days later I found a Sambar Stag 110!
Both were SFO's from C&C.
Both were leftover unsold stock on C&C' s Amazon storefront. Brand new in the box.

I couldn't believe it.
Of all places!
Over a year after they were sold out elsewhere.

They don't do that anymore. I've spent lots of time looking.

Edit.
I went back and looked at orders and it was 4 days, and the jigged was a LE, and the stag was an exclusive.
Both numbered.

Fall of 2020.

I also found a camel bone 112 that same week. Same seller.

Just last fall.....
Gary did you go out and buy lottery tickets...you are one lucky guy!

I don't actually need more knife than the 305, and I'm definitely no stranger to carrying nothing but a humble lancer.

I could say the same for the 160 but never carry a fixed blade by itself, and the 305 always seems like the perfect pairing.
I do understand. Years ago I was given this 709 Yearling and carried it for years as my only knife...

I have a 705 pony , and it's definitely a cool little knife.

I will probably always prefer the 305 and the standard serpentine frame of the 300 series, but there's just something interesting about the 700 series.
They scream Buck, you look at one and right away you know it's a Buck knife.

My only problem with the 700 series is the weird blade grinds.

Hi All,

Been away a lot and am not around on Sundays. So my post to the SPS will be late or not at all for a while. Thank you Roger for hosting this event each week and gracias to all who post photos and comments.

Here are some more HD Buck & MC knives for the show (sorry for being so late).

Another successful Sunday picture show, thank you to all who played. jb4570 jb4570 sure put it over the top at the end with his Harley themed knives. Hope to see you all again next week but until then please feel free to continue posting and commenting here. /Roger
