Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

On this day U.S. President James Madison signed a declaration of war against Great Britain
The War of 1812 (18 June 1812 – 17 February 1815)

CJ Buck was at the Shepherd Hills Cutlery Outlet in Lebanon MO Saturday the 17th. A little bit shy of 3 hours straight down I44 from St Louis. For those who don't know, Copper & Clad is Shepherd Hills online Buck sales division. I did purchase the event's 192 Vanguard and had CJ sign it for me. I'm not normally into billboard and signed knives but this one is a personal memento of actually meeting Mr Buck. I also had my hat signed. Seemed to be a pretty steady flow of people having knives signed. I'm sure after 3 hours his hand was ready for a break. I was very impressed with how personable he was. Met Tim Lindsey (BCCI President) for the first time and we had a quick lunch down the street at the Catfish place. I did manage to bend Mr Buck's ear about the cheesy Limited Edition etch on expensive blades and also about the over sized magnetic boxes.

Buck 877 Maverick. I saw they were on sale at the Shepherd Hills event. This one came from Walmart years ago. Thanks for the confirmation of Copper & Clad. That's brick-and-mortar store enough for me.

Happy Father's Day to all the Buck nut fathers on here today! Thank you Roger for hosting and all who post photos or comments.

I find it interesting that CJ is signing "Chairman" etched knives at the President's tour event? All the knives I've seen from the past were etched President's Tour.

Living in a State with a 3" blade length limit for concealed carry necessitated the modification of this Vantage. Now I can carry this model 345 legally the way Buck intended... in my pocket. I do like the Vantage line.

This event was actually billed as the Chairman's Tour and not President's Tour.
CJ was appointed President in 1999 and I assume he also became Chairman and CEO upon his fathers death in 2015.
Lane Tobiassen, formerly of Smith & Wesson, was appointed President in 2021. He is the first non Buck family member to hold that position.
So that brings up the question, did Chuck Buck do any "President's Tours" from 1999 to 2015 when he was not actually President? :D :D:D
I suspect calling it the "President's Tour" was more of a tradition but that changed when a non Buck became President.

Happy SPS everybody wave.gif
I'm only an hour and a half or so from Lebanon, but couldn't make it down. Sounds like a good time. Managed to snap a quick pic of a couple of Spitfires before it started to rain hard. Very much needed rain
