Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

This week I have a Buck 525 Classic in celebration of Fathers Day. The Classic has the same appearance as the Sterling Silver knives but is coined aluminum.
It differs from the 515 in that it does not have rivits and the aluminum is a thin shell overlay like the Sterling knives.

I'm calling this my Fathers Day gift to myself, the June 2021 BOTM. It came quick, 3 days from Idaho to Missouri. Green G10 handles, drop point S30V blade, and a brushed nickel silver frame. I like that the BOS S30V logo has been moved off the blade to the tang. If you look closely at the main tang stamp you will notice there is an asterisk following 110 *. What is up with that? I've not seen a marking like that before. Also there is no date code. Fit and finish is perfect.

That came out real well. Nice job!
I remember my Dad having a leather handled knife when we were really little, but it's been probably 60 years since I've seen it... don't know where it went. The one on the right is "in remembrance" and the one on the left is Buck's modern version.
Happy Father's Day to everyone.

Thanks. Yes, bottom row second from left. I'll bet there were stories. Like so many who go to war, he was pretty quiet about the war. B-24 pilot in the Pacific. Co-pilot killed next to him on one mission. Crash landed another. In Japan after the surrender. That's about all I remember him saying, although one of his missions is told in a small book about B-24s... but the story we liked most as kids was hearing about making ice cream mix, strapping it to the wing, taking it high enough to freeze, then the fast descent to get it back down before it melted.

Happy Father's Day SPS to one and All,

Just got home from a long night shift, need to hit the rack and catch some ZZZ. My grown kid's will come over to wish me a happy father's day when I wake up. I'll post this one for today!

Great story. I remember as a kid getting a signed copy of Baa Baa Black Sheep from Pappy Boyington at an air show.
