The Sunday Picture Show (June 20, 2021)

Got this for free years ago from a dealer as a way of him saying sorry for slow shipping. Promptly thru it in a drawer.
This week I carried it for a few days for the first time. It didn't just hold up well... it shined!
Proof a brilliant piece of cutlery doesn't have to be huge or cost an arm and a leg, just cut effectively and safely.

Wish it had checked it out a long time ago.

Happy Fathers Day Guys!!!

C.J.’s EDC, taken @ Buck Factory Sale the other day. BTW I thanked him for hosting Stumps, Haebbie and myself 10 years earlier @ the BCCI bash and giving us access to his and his father’s office for photo ops. Excellent cutlery/photos, tool box! 👀

I'm calling this my Fathers Day gift to myself, the June 2021 BOTM. It came quick, 3 days from Idaho to Missouri. Green G10 handles, drop point S30V blade, and a brushed nickel silver frame. I like that the BOS S30V logo has been moved off the blade to the tang. If you look closely at the main tang stamp you will notice there is an asterisk following 110 *. What is up with that? I've not seen a marking like that before. Also there is no date code. Fit and finish is perfect.

Made in 1967.

:D

Here's an odd 121. I'll call it my Father's Day mystery knife.

Came out with a batch of 121s with various handles and marked with the Idaho stamp.

This version was supposed to have brass pommel and guard.......this is the only one I've seen that was not done in brass.

A mistake? Well, it was a happy mistake for me.

Thanks again Roger for doing the Sunday Picture Show and thanks again to all who post and comment.

My father served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He was a crew member, in a plane, towing a target for anti-aircraft training when one of the trainees on the ground shot the tow plane and it crashed. He was seriously injured, but survived.

While recovering and rehabing he did some handi-work. Two of the pieces I have are this ring made from a aircraft's stainless steel bolt, and a lighter fabricated from a fifty caliber round. I would guess that these were two that had to do with the crash.

I've looked for hours and can not find the lighter. I know it's in the last place I had it, but, don't know were that might be. I'll keep looking...
Found it 😁 😁

Long time no see, Steve, nice to „meet“ you.
I hope all is fine with you and yours …

How many times do you need to be banned?

1 of 1 knife.

Really? Where did you get that info? Did Vorpal Rain tell you?

I'd truly like to verify the "one of one" if possible. If it's a Joe Houser mistake it would be quite a valuable mistake.

Maybe Joe will send me a letter of "Mistake Admission." I'll have to get in touch with him. He may be getting bored in retirement and need a laugh.
