just got home from trip to idaho to pick up a few prototypes from retired employee....
this is super rare proto for the ag russell buck canoe knife--they went with the larger canoe for production---they decided this was just to small--1 of 1.....

This wee 705, has nice stag...

You all have some beautiful knives. I can't afford the collection some of you have and I'm alright with that. My few have to pull their weight and work for a living.

For some reason many of these photos are showing up as unviewable files for me. The format that they show as is a broken icon and in the latest photo by Uncle Timbo a file name of zxjXecD.jpg is there a setting in the forum or in the browser I'm using that might rectify this problem? Thanks.

That is a fine piece Craig, but, I like that they choose the size they did and especially like the choice of blades. IMHO those on the proto look out of place for a canoe.

Don't think for a minute that you should have passed. That's a wonderful piece of Buck history. Shows the thought and planning that goes into a model.

This is flat out one beautiful and unique knife.

I think (subject to change) that the single blade 704 is my favorite.

My only 700 series knife at the moment... a 709 Yearling, being kept company by some Vanguards...
