Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

This day in History..... June 5th, 1953 Happy Birthday to me!

Something a little different from me this week, a used and abused 103 Skinner. As most of you may have gathered, I am a collector. That influences the type of knives that I buy, many are unused or NIB. I might also purchase a "good" specimen to fill in a variation sequence. So why did I buy this knife that did not even have the correct sheath? Very simply put... it was fifteen bucks. Have any of you ever bought a Buck knife because it was cheap but really filled no useful purpose to you? Almost forgot, about the knife, it is a 3-line 4-spacer, c.73-80. That would make it 440C.

Yes I have...I usually end up sending it in for a SPA and giving it away to a young relative or friend. I rarely pass on a cheap Buck, just because, I can't.
These two 105s were found in a pawn shop several years ago. The previous owner had engraved his name on them but at $15.00 each they came home with me.
Good deals are hard to find now-a-days.☹️

Maybe not cheap in the absolute, but cheap as in a good deal. SK Blades marked these aluminum 212's, in micarta and D2, down enough that I couldn't resist even though it filled no gap or need in my collection. Sure is pretty though pepsweetie.gif

If I can buy a knife that doesn't fit in my collection for 15 and sell it easily for 40-50, I will, and put the profits towards something nicer. And when I do that 10x over, I essentially get a nice Mastodon knife for next to nothing. In theory anyways....in reality I tell myself I made money flipping knives, to justify why I end up buying twice as many.......

A wedding cake knife made by WBC. great show everyone!!

EVERYONE loves a bargain but I especially like to find a bargain Buck! Back more than a dozen years ago when I was searching Ebay for 112's I run across a 653 with the tanto point that was used but nice with a nylon shieth I won for $1.99 (only bidder) and was delivered to my door for less than $6.00. I wore that at the Blade Show all weekend and called it my 'Trophy Buck'..I gave it to Joe to take it to Post Falls for a Spa treatment because I absolutely couldn't sharpen it correctly lol! I don't like selling a Buck as much as I like to trade but it's ALWAYS a goid day when there's a Buck in the mailbox!

I bought a handful of these 366, not cause I really wanted them cause they were super cheap. was gonna give them away to new knife users. but......

....ironically its become a favorite user. so now i give other knives away and have kept these ones. so I guess I do kinda fit that question, Roger.
