Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

This week I am sharing a Buck 317 Trailblazer. A Camillus pattern knife, they were offered in the Buck catalog from 1972 to 1989. The etch on my knife is for the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution. There were 3 other etches that I know of. 25th Anniversary NASA, Americas Farmers, and Railroads. Another variation to find is one with a serrated secondary blade. A few may have come out of the original custom shop with Mastodon Ivory or burgundy Micarta. The earliest may have handle pins and "Made in USA" with the model number on the pyle side. Larry Oden Did a short piece on the 317 Trailblazer in the March 2005 Newsletter.

thanks Roger for hosting. thanks y'all for your pics.

here's an old worn and torn 317 plain Jane version and a sheath. I got Mike to make for me years ago. it's before he started labeling his sheath. so no markings.

have great Sunday y'all.

Great show and nice knives everyone. Looks like the 317 is the main topic this Sunday. Here are a few for today's show.

Thanks to all who come to enjoy the show Roger brings to us each and every Sunday.

The 1st 317's were stamped 'BUCK MADE IN USA' on 3 lines and had a total of 3 pins in the handle.

Spring has not yet sprung in New England... as expected I guess... about 29 when we started our hike, but the trails were getting muddy by 10. 5.1m on a super sunny day making pancakes and the couch look real good... got some decent pics this AM... enjoy your Sunday!
