The Sunday Picture Show (March 16th, 2025)

Here's a picture of my early Buck 112 for the Sunday Picture Show. The My Lai Massacre was definitely a dark spot in military history. I enlisted in the Navy in 1969 out of high school. My first duty station was at a dispensary at a shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. After that from 72-73, I went to Field Medical School Fleet Marine Force at Camp LeJeune and was attached to the 2nd Marine Division. I was deployed for a while with 3rd Battalion 6th Marine. Never was in country but was with a lot of men who had been. A lot of Marines carried mostly Camillus knives and a few KaBars. Some of the Corpsmen carried Buck 110 folders and I had a Case 2 blade Trapper in my pocket. Didn't really need the extra weight of the knife. God bless our Troops!

Thought I'd post a picture my daughter drew several years ago from the Band of Brothers. She has matured into quite an artist.

That drawing is awesome!! Thanks for sharing. Your daughter is very talented.

This is one of my favorite 112 oddball..5 pin but in Black micarta. I 'think' there was 5 sets of 110/112 made for Buck executives. The regular wood 5 pin 112 is extremely rare NIB. I remember seeing one around 2014 on Ebay but over $300.00..17421600531822617952648219505578.jpg
