Be careful showing that non Buck Damascus blade around. There was a recent thread over on the BCCI site about an eBay seller who was selling a 110 with a custom Damascus blade. The argument being it could only legitimately be called a BUCK knife if it had a Buck blade. Suggestion was the seller should be reported to eBay and Buck.

Interesting, I missed their conversation on this topic on the BCCI site.

So, what about a knife made by buck under contract that does not say Buck on the blade (is it a Buck or not)?

In regards to Roger's original post... one of the many crazy events that happened in my late teens/ early 20s, was the North Hollywood Shootout on Feb 28 1997... crazy... i think that event changed law enforcement across the country... started out as a bank robbery...ended up a warzone....

I got the loose blade on the Bay from a well known fabricator. He did not represent the blade as a genuine Buck. I have factory and non-factory 110 Damascus blades, and there is little similarity between them. The newer Take Apart 110’s let you move the blades around.
