Back in the day (late 70s) that there is a “Flik-It”.
When I bought this knife it was HARD to open so that little dodad helped. After I learned about the Spa service many years later it got fixed!!

I put it on in a machine shop using a bearing press.
Had to start at the point and CAREFULLY slide it into position!!
It ain’t coming off!!

One of the donor knives used for this 4-blade knife was the dual blade 112/110 that DeSotoSky pictured for this Sunday Picture Show. The one I had did not have the billboards on the blades so I had them mirror polished. You can see the Idaho tang stamp on the 110 and the ⊥ date code on the 112.

Happy Sunday Picture Show!

I have one Idaho date stamped knife, but it’s a 1991.

All three of these knives are 1991. The 503 is the first Buck I ever owned - my 8th grade graduation gift from my dad. I carried it across four continents and in 2006 had sharpened it so much that the point was catching in my pocket. I mailed it back to Buck, and they re-bladed it with one of last year’s leftovers. Lucky me!

The 110 is my second ever Buck - a Christmas gift from my grandfather in 1991, freshman year of high school.

The 704 Maverick isn’t sentimental. I fished it out of the Bay sometime in the past year, but who can resist factory stag? So, being a 1991, it got to tag along this week.

This is part of my pronghorn display of various items related to that magnificent animal. Meanwhile, I would love to find a 105 chipflint.

I keep looking for one of those. Meanwhile, I'll just enjoy the real thing that shows up in our front yard now and then.
