The Sunday Picture Show (May 25th, 2025)

Some 525 Gents for May 25th to get page 2 started.
First up is a 525 Tracks c.2000. The tracks etch is on both sides. I recall there is a matching 470 & 475, I probably have them somewhere also. The next 3 are Limited Editions from the 1998 catalog. American Oak, Burgundy Rosewood, and Indigo Blue.

Hello, everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend, and taking some time to remember those who gave all.

Due to a surplus of rain here, my work has been unusually busy for the past couple months. My limited free time has been spent with my family, and I haven't had much time for hobbies. I do still love my Buck knives, and the people on this forum.

This little 102 has steak duty tonight:

Great show this week, as always! Let's see some more beautiful Bucks!

Thanks DeSotoSky for the history review and the opportunity to display our Buck knives.

The 110 has an Ion-fusion coating and the Crosslock has Bucks own proprietary coating they called Buckcote.

Ion Fusion and BuckCote are one in the same. There were 4 coatings offered: Titanium Nitride (TiN) which was bright Gold, Zirconium Nitride (ZrN) which was Campagne colored, Titanium Carbo Nitride (TiCN) which was purple, and Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAlN) which was charcoal. The HRC (Hardness Rockwell C) of the coatings was 82, 85, 88, & 92 respectively. Much better than CeraKote. The knife on the left is coated with Tungsten Diamond Like Carbon (TDLC) at 72 HRC. This actually Tungsten Carbide (WC). I don’t have a TiCN coated blade.IMG_7475.png
