Man! That is one ugly knife right there, Pat.

Yep, it's only the second prettiest Buck I own.

Everybody's probably getting bored of seeing mine, but I think it's been on my belt every day since I took it out of the mailbox.

I'm not. I wish I could carry the same knife every day and not feel like I need to change it up so much, but I can't.

I don't have a problem carrying the same knife. For three or four years it was a Chris Reeve & an Alox. It didn't matter what "new favorite" knife I bought, a CRK would always end up back in my pocket. For almost a year now that's been the case with Buck Knives. Usually one of the 112 variety. Some other combo may get my attention tomorrow, or maybe next year. Hard to tell with me.

But, I'm derailing the thread here. Sorry. Here's another pic of another ugly 112.

Ironbut here's another vote. I'm also not getting tired of your beautiful 112. That brass is starting to get a nice patina.

I'm still picture challenged but back in the mid 70's I had a tour of the White House thanks to Betty Ford. I was in the Navy and had been in Besthda Naval hospital for about 14 months and Mrs.Ford had about 18 of us taken to the White House for a private tour. The days event's are a little hazy as the Doc's had me medicated extremely well.. I was in a wheelchair and remember shaking Mrs.Fords hand and being pushed around by a Secret Service agent for about a hour and a half and taken a lot of places in the building tourist could not go. She was very gracious and I vaguely remember being offered something to eat and drink but can't remember what it was.. I almost didn't get picked to go because I had been so long in ward 5-C and had not gotten a haircut.
It's one of two times I actually got out of the hospital in a 2 1/2 year stretch. The other time they took a group of us fishing in Chesapeake Bay and had a small crane swing the wheelchair onto the deck. My forearms got SO sunburned the Doc's got a little concerned but I won the big fish pool with a long narrow fish..
