Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

October 24, 1901 On her 63 birthday, Anne Taylor was the first (human) to to survive a trip over Niagara Falls in a barrel. Interestingly, she tried it out on her cat before trying it herself. So the cat was actually first but history records Anne's name but not the cat's. If you look closely at the last picture you will see her cat on top of the Barrel. It looks like the barrel was made of Iron & Wood.

Speaking of Ironwood, this week I have the October BOTM knife. Arriving in my mailbox today, 3 days, Post Falls to St Louis. It is a Barehead Duke 500 with Ironwood scales and a S30V blade. The issue quantity was 500 but they are not serialized. One of the interesting features of this knife is the long pull nail nic. When I first saw pictures I was not particularly taken with long nic thinking it did not look right but now that I have it in hand I really like it and can't imagine it any other way. My specimen is without issue, the scales do not show alot of figure but are nicely bookmatched (see picture). A "Magnetic" box, black leather sheath, and a slip pouch round out the package.

"An estimated 5000 bodies were found at the foot of the falls between 1850 and 2011. On average, between 20 and 30 people die going over the falls each year. The majority of deaths are suicides, and most take place from the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Many of these suicides are not publicized by officials." WIKI
Has anyone ever noticed that women can't do anything without a cellphone (or something) in their hand?

C Chilebrown  The Trail of Tears knife is a tough find, it took me a few years. Supposedly 2003 of them made for a Motorcycle club, Hard to believe that many considering how rare it is. The Trail of Tears was the forced migration of the First Citizens westward between 1830 and 1850. (open immigration from Europe did not work out too well for them)

Arian29 Arian29 Do I keep you up Saturday night waiting so you can be first?

wouter1967 wouter1967 I always get a kick when clueless eBay sellers refer to their knives with 4 scale pins as "4-dots".

Pony_Hernandez Pony_Hernandez Your first appearance here at the show, welcome. Great picture

IDhorace IDhorace You did double good. What is your background rock, Granite?

Skelator88 Skelator88 Being on the other side of the Atlantic does not seem to keep you from the good finds.

caquino caquino Your 531 is crooked... always liked your spalted stand.

Persistence and luck I would call it :)

I'm really not sure, but it could be granite. It's one of the paving stones we got to finish a short walkway in the yard. Actually, it's the backside of one. The 'name' was "Black Ice" but obviously that's a random inventory control name. Y'all may see those stones occasionally in future Sunday Shows 😄

Roger, again, thank you for taking on the task of starting the Sunday Picture Show. The info that you use to start the ball rolling is always informative and interesting...over the falls in an ironwood barrel 😁 👌 😁 Thanks to all who post photos and comments.
I was real pleased with the color and figure of the ironwood on this 30th Anniversary 110.
The 500s I don't have many, thought I had an Idaho tang stamped but can't find it so maybe not.
