Thank you Rodger for another interesting start to the always entertaining SPS. Ironwood perfectly suits the 118... simply beautiful!

Here's a 271 I purchased years ago just to experience S30V as a blade steel. Now it's highly prize for a myriad of merits.

Another Great Sunday Picture Show and some really unique and beautiful Buck knives!

Getting ready to go muzzleloader deer hunting this afternoon and sit along the edge of a big cornfield with my Browning Mountain Rifle and my Custom Shop 113 in Ironwood. Everybody have a great afternoon! I'm sure I will, even if I don't see anything.

Buck model 118 Personals with leather spacers.
The top knife is a first year factory production barrel nut. The lower knife is a late 1950's stag handle.

Thank you for doing the show Roger. Here are some 110 format knives showing the before and after set ups where the pivot rivets have been replaced with socket head screws allowing for the switching of blades. 3 of the knives are stock, 3 have new (different) blades.View attachment 1700491

The tang stamp pretty much identifies the age, BUCK*.

Wow, what a fantastic show you all have put on today! I survived the full day of atmosheric river rain at work (LOL). I sure hope caquino faired as well, I was working during the October storm as well and one of the guys said it was the worst day he's had there (he's worked there for 40 years so that was some storm).

Roger & Preston, that chippy Buff 118 was from an auction house in Canada it cost me $80 canadian. I bought the first 4 knives from the series, found another off of Craigs list and then stopped buying them due to the price increases that were taking place. Now as you have said they have been pulling even higher prices like everything else.
