  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

The Sunday Picture Show (September 14th, 2025)

I did study the Battle of Fort McHenry but it was called the Battle of Baltimore in my history books. We also studied the Battle of Bladensburg, where the British were engaged by American forces on their march to Washington D.C.

This 110 has some unique grain to the Damascus blade.

I like Twinsets. Here is a 103 Skinner and 116 Caper in Brown (or Olive Drab) Micarta. Buck had been selling these thru the factory store. I have purchased several of these knives in the past, some were labeled Olive Drab and some Brown. They all look the same to my color challenged eyes. I can't tell the difference. I purchased this pair from DOGPOUND77 DOGPOUND77 in a black vintage Buck Twin Set sheath. I did not feel it did them justice so I commissioned this custom sheath by Makael. I think it was worth the wait. Makael Makael does not play here any more and I'm not sure he is still making sheaths. I think he pops into the BCCI forum occasionally. Although this is by no means a factory twin set, Buck did sell the 103/116 combination as the 117 Trophy Set. I do wish the tang stamps had matched, a feature I always look for when buying original twin sets.
