What an awesome story! I've heard so many stories like this in this forum! Beautiful knives as well!I'm sure the old timer's here already know this story. I'll try to keep it brief.
The story started just prior to Thanksgiving day 2006. I was just starting to collect knives again over other collecting habits. In Addition, I was new to buying from the internet and on-line shopping practices. With that said, a set of 6 David YellowHorse knives was up for sale, the set was wildlife themed with Damascus steel blades. The auction was set to end on Thanksgiving day, I had been watching it. A few hours prior to the end, the price was going to have the knives sale average well below $200 per knife. The $200 per knife was what I considered to be a great price at that time. So I came to our site and asked the members at the time some questions before I made a bid. As time was running out on the auction I placed my bid and won the auction at a fantastic price. The folks here were as excided for me as I was and we all waited for the set to arrive. Well the knives never arrived and the seller did not respond to any contact, it was a ripoff.
I was disheartened and was thinking it was time to stop this Newley ignited round of knife collecting. One of the members of this sight contacted Joe Houser at Buck and had a chat about this issue and Joe contacted me. MR. Houser sent David a DM bladed 110 and David turned it into the knife in the photos and they sent it to me. WOW is all I can say, these two men are what is best in humanity and that is why this YellowHorse knife is my favorite.
Note this is a short and sweet version of the overall events, I could fill 10 pages with all the details.
Thank you Joe Houser, get well soon my on-line friend. You Sir are a one of a kind.
Thank you David YellowHorse, your creations are all works of art, you Sir are a kindhearted man and story teller, Truly an important part of the Knife industry.
A few more for the show!
