My original post - moved to this one. OH
-------------------------------------------------------------

I certainly hope that Armand (ITE) is okay today, going to give him an assist and get the show started. OH

I stopped by the newly opened Field and Stream sporting goods store near the Raleigh Durham Airport on Wednesday, was very pleased to see a nice Buck display in their cutlery department. They had plenty of Buck 119 knives on display; in case you can't find them at Mart-Mart anymore!! Picture is of my old one. OH

Making the drive up 35W from Ft. Worth to Denton yesterday, some strange force pulled my truck into Cabelas.

This will likely be #1 starter in the carry rotation for a while:

A couple of Odyssey folders, 181 dated 2001 and 182 from 1998, with ATS-34 Japanese super steel blades, liner locks and tip down carry pocket clips. Awful pointy sliver picker points.

A Great Blue Heron checks its six down on the Tualatin River flood plain:

Happy Sunday to all and great pictures everyone and thanks for posting them.

This last week I received an unexpected package in the mail from a great person and my good friend Armand (ITE) and upon opening it found a Buck 285 Bantam flag design which I had been trying to find.

I owe a great thank you Armand.

Picked up this 120 when I was a teen back in the 70's, still in decent shape even with me abusing it as a camp knife back then.

Here are a few I picked up recently as possible Christmas gifts, but maybe I'll just keep them. The other photo isn't exactly wildlife, but it celebrates our first snow a few days ago.

Hi All,

Wow, Bertl has snow already it's in the high 90s here in sunny CA. Thank you Armand for starting the SPS again this week, as Herbert calls it "The Greatest Show on Earth"!

Well I have a few days off work this week so I was checking out Craig's list and found a cool new display case. It was made to display diecast cars. But, will work just fine for knives:thumbup:. The display has a single storage drawer and is 4 sided and rotates lazy Susan style.....sweet. It has space for 20 1:24 size diecast cars, it will hold about 40 110 sized knives. I just have to decide how I want the knives to look in the display. So, yesterday I made a two hour round trip to get this little gem. Now the real work begins, I have to figure where it will go in the man cave and what knives to put in it....wish me luck;).

Thanks Armand!! Always look forward to the SPS and you always get it up and running.:thumbup::thumbup:

oregon…how do you sneak up that close to those birds? :)
You really post some beautiful wildlife shots AND excellent Buck knife photos!!:thumbup::thumbup:

John….it pays to be in the right place at the right time.
Nice display cabinet!! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

These three 50th Anniversary 110's were added this week to my other 50th Anniversary 110's.
The top one came from Heath Stone.
I was trying to add two Chairman series with the newer stamp, but ended up getting one of the with the older stamp, but I'm not complaining.

I had never even held a Buck Spitfire before I received this one earlier in the week.

It came off Blade Forums along with another Buck knife.

It's been a looooooong time since I was at a flea market.

I went yesterday because my brother was selling some stuff and I had a lot of items I gave him to sell.

I walked up the aisle a short ways and found this for $10.00.
I think I can purdy it up a bit. :)

I may clean it up later today and post more pics if I have time.

Okay…I decided to clean it up a little before I got busy later today. This is the same $10.00 knife and sheath that's posted in #16 above.

It cleaned up alright. It had a bad sharpening job done on it. I got the angle right and even our own California Chris could shave with it now. :)

I re-dyed the sheath with a little Fiebing's black leather dye.

Quite the transformation on that 110 Stumps. Looks like new now. Your collection of 50th 110's is nearing completion as long as there are no other variations hiding out there.

It would be the first time without a pic from me if I don't enter the GSOE since I posted my first photo here. Thank you, Armand, for another chance to show what I have. God bless you!

Oregon, Great shot of the Great Blue Heron, preening his backside. Wish I could bend around that much to see what's behind me.

Ribeye, I am proud to hear from someone that is impressed with the one blades. Now if we could just get them to do a big sized two blade.......

Bert, The cabin in the woods. Looks just like what I would have if I could think one into reality. Wheres the wood pile.

jb, does it rotate slowly via quite electric motor.....

Stumps, finding a $10 2 dot is almost as good as finding an arrowhead.......

Yes, Haebbie....it would not be the same without your photo.
