I'm using the dark, too. I didn't use it on the old forum, but it seems to fit with this one.

Hopefully things will start feeling like home again once I get used to it. One thing I just found is that if I click on 'Your News Feed' it takes you to a page that looks similar to the old user page with everyone's Activity. I suppose there'll be a lot of similarities once I figure out where it's all at.

Kinda feels like when my folks moved from Montana back to Idaho when I went off to college years ago. Didn't know where home was anymore.

I don't think Silver knows the site is back up yet. Matt, you out there bud??!!!
 
How the F do we get photos to post? I just used to click the info button on my photobucket pics, copy the link and hit post. Now it doesnt work

I had followed the progress of the site changing over on Friday, but then the weekend and work and switching phones got pretty hectic. Looks like I have some learning to do. It's good to see you guys over here on the other side of the big switch :D

Good to see you SN! It's a big shocker for a bit. I'm slowly figuring it out.

Helpful stuff:

you can watch a forum and it will show up in your 'watched forums' page to keep from having to scroll so much on stuff you frequent.

'watched threads' is similar to the old 'settings' page and will show the threads that you 'watch' which used to be 'subscribed' to.

'Your News Feed' will take you to the Activity Stream that is similar to what you would see when you used to click on your profile page.

If you're used to some other forums, you are probably way ahead of me on this!!

Thanks for that info. I haven't been on any other forums for awhile and they were pretty similar to the old style here. I've been told change is good o_O:D
 
I'm going to use less of the quoting feature just because I find constant alerts quite annoying! That said, I'm quite familiar with this format because it was being used on another site related to NFL fandom I used to frequent.
 
Bookmarking the forum pages still works!
I just lurk as a guest until I want to make a comment.
 
Yeah this is taking some time to get used to, but I did exactly what HK said with the watched threads and even added Bladeforums as a homepage through Safari so now I basically have it as an app.
I was hoping that Tapatalk would be an option, but Spark posted something about all of the spam it causes so I deleted that damn app.
 
Not being able to utilize Tapatalk with the new BFC format is going to p*ss off some keyboard ninjas! Why you ask? Those who had figured out the how-to-Tapatalk to gain advantage of mere milliseconds on Carothers Friday Sales will not be able to use that feature as an advantage for the time being ;)

It'll give me time to train so I can snag a Behemoth Chopper or "Survival" Knife!
 
Standard, I noticed that you did not partake in their EDC action. Just FYI, tomorrow's sale will be the last of the bunch. LMK if you'd like me to try my proxy ninja-fu for Ya :)

Oops! The CPK sale is not mañana! It is on Friday April 28th. Major brainfart! Apologies :rolleyes:

I appreciate it bud, but I can't think of any reason to snag one. It looks like it's more than capable to handle my edc needs, but I have the two FK's for that.
I feel the EDC would just sit around looking pretty!
