IMHO, the 0.25" version will make for a better all-rounder, as it has more heft for chopping. The extra weight won't noticeably detract from it's other functions.
Back when JK Knives was only a knife modder and not yet a maker, he did a nice satin job on an original CG RW. Still have it, of course; although the others have moved on.

Is the flat of the satin RW jeweled?

I'm wondering if the grip slabs are flat or sculpted. That will make all the difference to me for buying or not.
