Does anyone out there have any of HI's swords? I can't afford one, but I'm curious.

Hi Aaron:

We don't sell many swords which is fine with us all. They are time consuming to make and expensive to ship.

However, in what we can roughly classify as the "sword" category we have sold more 38 inch Janawar Katnes than anything else. And, at 8 or 9 pounds this blade is really not very useful.

Here's a picture of it.

Janawar Katne means "animal cutter" so that pretty much defines the use in Nepal. But, as Cliff pointed out, if one does not mind carrying around a 13 pound rig then there are other uses for this blade. The karda and chakma for this khukuri are each about a foot long.
