The Tale of a Knife WIP

I have seen other makers do wip threads and thought I would give it a try. This is a spine release auto build that has a awesome ending.The first pics show the ideas and materials.

The damascus blade is by Larry Donnelly and bolsters are by Chad Nichols,liners are titanium and handles are abalone.A little cutting and grinding and it starts to take shape. I'll try and post more tomorrow.

Here are a couple more pics. It is starting to shape up and fit together and looks like a knife now. I forgot to mention it has a toothy buddy.More pics after work tonight.

Now that it resembles a knife lets make it fancy.Several hours of filework should do the trick.Jeweling the liners is a nice touch with some color to boot.

Well I guess after 28 hours it was worth it.What do you guys think of it?

Well now that I'm overwhelmed with response I guess I'll finish this story. I entered this knife at the SVKC show and won best high art with this one and best custom folder witha scorpion flipper.Anyone know who the guy is on the right who also was a judge for this award???
