Don't baton DE !careful of double edged knives, they cut both ways, like a smatchet.
Depends how big. Here is a common one: Hand somebody else a knife handle first.
Here is a strange one: don’t try to open a coconut with a knife. Don’t ask my how i know ...
This is a great topic.......really glad you started it.I just had a thought, a rare phenomenon. You all know the three rules of gun safety, that are recapped when instructing beginners. What is the knife equivilant? If I were trying to concisely instruct someone on knife use what 3, 5, 10 core rules should I lay down?
My Example:
1) Don't cut towards yourself and anticipate slippage.
2) Don't try to catch a falling knife.
3) Always treat your edge with respect.
4) Don't pry with your knife.
5) Dont play with your knife in public.
Red.....is that you? Where you been since That 70's Show ended"Don't be a dumbass."
I think that rule covers pretty much everything.
Some lessons can be pretty harsh and result in more than a nuisance cut .Let them cut themselves until they figure it out.
It’s called natural selection. It’s the basis for Darwin’s theory of evolution. Who are we to interfere? LOL.Some lessons can be pretty harsh and result in more than a nuisance cut .
When I first started throwing sharp objects at hard targets , I thought it would be easy to dodge out of way of rebounds .![]()
