Went to the Island last week, and found a rather large toad.
The Benchmade Arvensis is now officially Toad Approved. :)

Nice looking knife, and awesome toad.
I've never seen a toad in person that I recall but always loved frogs.

Harder to get frogs to sit still long enough for a picture.
Toads tend to be more chill that way.

Oh, frogs definitely don't like to stay still.
now that I think of it, I have seen a toad before.
As a kid my neighbors teenage son had one he was going to kill and we took it and let it go in my backyard.

Loving frogs , lizzards...ect I just had to.
He had it trapped under a little Mcdonald's Halloween pail in the middle of the street.
I asked what was with the pail and he said he found toad in the house so he put it there for someone to run over.

My sister-in-law lives across the river from you. Her house has an egress window that the toads fall into and can't get out of. Seems every time I go there I end up pulling a dozen out of the hole because she and her husband won't.

Last summer I got a bucket of 17. Most were tiny with the biggest being about as big around as a soda can. There's some protected wetlands behinder her house so I dump them there.

I've rescued a field mouse from that same hole as well.

Next time I go, I'll get some photos. I'm sure they'll be back. I'll have to remember to take a nice fixed blade for the photos.

Neat! :)
A photo with a group of toads around the knife (or knives) should look pretty cool.

Is that a "horny" toad?

Just a regular toad.
At least I assume it wasn't horny...I didn't ask. :D
