Did they serve beer at the NAAFI ?
I foolishly volunteered to do a 30KM hike with my son's Scout group.
Two days two nights . It was great . Three of us dads followed 1/2 hour behind the 5 kids.
It was rugged wild country yet astoundingly beautiful. Good weather is a bonus.
I managed to lag behind long enough to get a couple of knife shots of my trusty ranch hand. Please enjoy a couple of pics of the Blue Mountains NSW . We walked down Narrowneck to Medlow Gap and out to Dunphy's Camp in the Megalong Valley.
looking back up at Narrowneck
Lake Burragorang formed by Warragamba Dam -Sydneys main water supply.
By the time I took this one I had blisters the size of fried eggs on the insides of my heels.
The best was yet to come-Driving out (we left cars at both ends which involved a 2hour car shuffle) A huge roo decided to jump out in front of the car. It did the classic Roo zig zag across the road in sheer panic looking for a gap in the bush. This went on for a couple of minutes-each time I thought it was going into the bush it would radically alter course into the road. Wish I could bound along at 40kmph.
