Kris! That Böker is amazing. I really like that damascus very much. Looks like ebony. Very nice. Thank you for sharing!

Kind regards

My new mammoth ivory Davsion

sorry about the crappy pic.

I have found mammoth ivory is almost impossible to photograph and show it as nice as it looks. If its coming through that good on your cell it must be outrageous in person. Congrats!

I work weekends so normally forget to submit to this thread but heres my pride and joy...never liked a knife as much as this one.

New one for my odd-ball Buck collection, or would it be Camillus collection.....300

I inadvertently discovered that Ancient Kauri wood takes a wicked shine when I decided to buff out some Renaissance wax with a jeweler's rouge cloth instead of the usual microfiber cloth. The pic doesn't capture it, but you can see yourself reflected in the wood - just like mom's kitchen floor :D.

.....Very nice knife!....would that be New Zealand Kauri???....I cant say that ive ever seen any that colour before, other than Swamp Kauri.....id be very interested to know??......................FES

Very Interesting Label there Rick, as Fes has said..Kauri isnt that colour...although swamp Kauri may be darker?...Usually our Kauri is a lighter colour that almost has a yellow / tan hue to it, never has Kauri has a red look - such as Rosewood / Mahogany - unless GEC have committed the ultimate sin and stained the wood that colour ( not that the colour is off Rick - its just that one would never stain Kauri )...probably one of the nicer woods in the world.
Thank you for posting your great looking

Lovely stuff!..im very familiar with it...heres part of my friends lounge suite...its a 5 piece set.....a few knife handles here eh boys!!....and a probably little known fact, is that some of the best of our standing Kauri, was exported to the USA to build to build places like san francisco etc....................FES

Love this picture!

The OT, the worn sheath, the brick background, the late day shadow -- great composition.

Makes me think of coming home from a long, hard day of work, taking off the tools and sitting down with a cold one to enjoy the sunset. Great story-telling with a photo!
