Yep, if you zoom way in on the last photo, you can just make out "Grohmann" and "Canada" on the ricasso.

Oh yeah, the boat knife looks good (that's the one with the different shaped handle, slightly fatter, more hand-filling, yes?).

Yes, that's it, just borrowing an image from the Grohmann site...

It's now available with a flat-ground blade too I believe

Ooh, even better! The more substantial grip and a flat-ground blade sounds like a winning combination! Now you've got me thinking about one of my own... gahh!

Brian - That is quite a nice trio of 85's you have there:thumbup: I noticed by your post count that you are new to the Front Porch. Let me say welcome and I know that you will enjoy this wonderful place where we all love to hang out:):D

Thank you Ron, I enjoy very much hanging here when I can. The friendliness apparent in your welcoming me is one reason why.:) These are my only ones but the #85's are one of my favourites. I hope GEC makes some more, particularly a harness jack.

I can't believe GEC ever made knives that beautiful! Please post more pics, Brian!:)

I'll do my best Scott, although my collection is not remotely nearly as extensive as yours and others here. I better stop posting three at a time or I'll run out quickly.:D It's interesting to note that the nice colour we see (in the bone) in the picture is not as apparent when held in hand, until you hit it with a flashlight, or take a pic.

Up early to fertilize the lawn and decided to do a little knife cleaning & oiling. Happy Sunday all.

I had a fantastic walk yesterday, around two of Yorkshire’s inumerable reservoirs, created many years ago in an ancient valley, which was once the haunt of one Guido Fawkes. The breathtaking scenery is particularly lovely at this time of year and the lakes and adjacent woods and fells are rich with wildlife. There were new-born lambs in the fields, and every sort of birdlife: Canadian geese flying in to land en masse on the water, Great Crested Grebes performing their elaborate ‘Penguin Dance’ courtship ritual, and numerous small song birds competing with each other. From the number of fly fishermen lining the banks, it seems that there's just as much wildlife beneath the waters as above them too. Spring, it seems, has arrived at last, in Yorkshire at least. The walk was an opportunity for me to carry a customised Russell Skinner, very kindly gifted to me by Dave last year, along with my trusty Bullnose and Russell Scout, presents from Meako and Jer respectively. Thanks again guys, good to have you along with me yesterday. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday

LOL! :D Thanks Gev

Thanks again my friend. I'd not seen it before, and was a bit astonished! :D
