The TRADITIONAL sunday picture show!!!!

Good Sunday morning everyone!
Background is a card table my Mom was going to throw away. It's been around as long as I can remember and I'm 55 years old. I couldn't bear to see it go! I might be a hoarder? :o

Well, I guess there goes any chance of me taking that Oeser off your hands :) Seriously though, very cool knife!

Thanks gents. I chose materials I liked and the design is what I wanted for my outdoor activities. I am really looking forward to carrying it.

Chris

Great pictures everyone. I have spent the morning working on a knife project. I am looking forward to using this one when our deer season starts in a few weeks.

there is still much to do. The blade is my Damascus 1084 and 15N20. The collars are wrought iron from a wagon from the late 1800's with a coined 416 ss spacer. The wood is 3000 year old bog oak.

Time to shower, shave and head to Sunday afternoon service.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Chris

That is going to look great Chris. I can't wait to see the finished knife.:cool:

Chris - If you have enough material left, I would like you to make me one about ten times that big, so I can chop Markesharp's BR Parang in half. ;):D:D:rolleyes:

Hahaha!!! I spit water on my laptop reading that! :barf: You couldn't even swing my BR Parang Primble! You would tip over as soon as I handed it to you! :rolleyes::D:D:D

Thanks Mark. The wood had been drilled and fitted to the tang. I coated the tang with a release agent to keep the epoxy from making it permanent. So it's bedded where the fit up is exact. I will be able to have each piece fully finished before final assembly.

First chop took care of the branch Primble

Great idea Chris. I have never done a hidden tang knife, and that makes a lot of sense to be able to finish the handle apart from the knife. Thanks.

Happy Sunday to everyone. I was enjoying a cup of tea on the porch this morning enjoying the sights and sounds before my little one wakes up.

Great pic of your Barlow Justin, that is a nice time to be awake :)

Happy Sunday everyone!

The girlfriend is making breakfast while I watch a race and take pictures of knives. She's a keeper.

Great selection. I normally carry two slippies daily and my Case/Bose coffin jack is normally 1 of the 2.

Thanks!!

They're the only two traditionals that I own but each was carefully chosen. The Bose is a fantastic knife and it's gonna be tough choosing between them each day!
