Thank you Jack, longest night in a week's time..but it takes another six weeks to start seeing real light gains. Mind you, in Lapland with its kaamos, there are some places with more or less dark from mid Nov to mid Jan

Primble, thank you too. I'm very fond of that knife, kind of odd it having a Sabre ground master and flat ground minor all on one spring. Great snap and well sharp. Glenn re-handled it for me and turned a basket-case into a dapper Old Gent, wish he could do the same for me! :D:D:grumpy:

Smith & Sons Mudbug Sodbuster lockback by GEC. Oh, it's on the woodshed roof under all that heavy, wet, snow we had this morning.

This is my new favorite knife photo. :D

(I love the full story behind it, too.)

Bringin' the bling!

That's just insane, I have this sudden desire to light up some patchouli incense, put on a nehru jacket and listen to the 1910 Fruitgum Company sing Yummy, yummy, yummy I got Love in my tummy. ;) I really like that, what's it called?

I had a knife like that I'd left in the canoe and I didn't get back to it till 8 years later, luckily it was a stainless blade. :)

Hey is that the 512 layer Parker Edwards damascus that Case was using in the 90s? If it is it's what I have on my small Coke Bottle and it's an outstanding steel, takes a great edge and holds it forever just gotta watch for rust. :)

Jeez Ted, you might want to stay away from this Neptune acrylic, we might have to go looking for you on some other types of forums! :D

I was into celluloid till a Kutmaster Brownie knife ruined an entire box of Schrades, I still have a few but I keep them separated now. I used to search for 'em but now they have to be perfect and I'm always gun shy. As a result I've picked up maybe 3 cell covered knives in the last 10 years.

I was just on ebay and I couldn't believe what they're askin' for that knife and most of them are half way to total destruction already.

Yes, it is 512 layer damascus steel. As you say, it takes a great edge and holds it well.
