Jack, you give me the opportunity to remind that yesterday 11 was the Armistice Day, the game was the Gallaher trophy after the name of a New Zealand Serjeant (this is how it is written on the stone) captain of the All Blacks, volunteer, who died at war. The NZ had a Poppy on the shirt and the French team sported a Cornflower.
Ma's Uncle Arthur, sergeant in the 42th infantry battalion died in Artois. I still have the letter the colonel wrote to his mother.
There's a big issue these days because there's a project to establish wind turbines near the Bullecourt Australian cemetary. I hope this will never happen.

In addition to the Joseph Allen WW1 'Gift Knife', I also have this one with me today. I dare say, there were a few knives of that pattern carried in both world wars :thumbsup:
