I felt a little guilty for the moment or two of trauma I caused the little guy, but the photo op was too good. No long term harm, and he’s no worse for the wear. I rewarded him with a strawberry.

Here's the knife I've carried for about fifteen years. It's an old Henckels 1901 that I bought out of a cigar box at a flea market. T'aint pretty, but I love it. The scales are getting a nice pocket worn feel, and it takes an edge like nobody's business...
