That is a stunner, Jack! What a treasure to have in your collection. I would imagine it is even better in person. Thanks Smudge, I took the photo when I went to pick up the Lambsfoot knife Stan made for me, and often post the pic when I carry the knife. I haven't posted it anywhere else, but here on The Porch

Beautiful stag and photo!
Love those EO’s!
So cool that you had a relationship with Stan, and have some of his knives to remember him by. I’ve been admiring his work from afar. Would love to handle one in person some day.Thank youIt's a very nice knife, (and one I wouldn't want folks thinking I'd sold)
The first knife Stan made for me was a Sheepsfoot. He used to make most of his knives in stainless, as they were for collectors, but I'd asked him to use carbon, as I'd be using the knife. After I got the Sheepsfoot, I asked him to make me a Lambsfoot, also in carbon. I'd expected to wait a while for it, so I was surprised when he rang me a couple of weeks later, to tell me he'd made it. When I expressed my surprise, he told me, "Some knives get made quicker than others."
He also told me that he'd used stainless, instead of carbon, telling me, "Well, I thought you could keep that one for best"
