What a lanyard, Pete! That is one sweet knife.

Thanks Gevonovich, I wanted to use a Shackle with screw pin on the bail side like this

But couldn't find one small enough to fit through the bail, so I went with a quick link until I can find one, I wanted something that I could remove easily.

Pete

Decided to wrap the quick link, to protect the bolster

I think I would just make a big loop on the knife end of the lanyard with no metal pieces. Thread the loop thru bail...lanyard thru exposed loop in bail...wahla..no scratchy ...lol

A hang man's noose is a handy knot for a lanyard. It's very secure and I think it looks cool too. Here's a couple of examples:

I lucked into finding this at the junk shop a couple weeks back:

I always wanted a funny folder! The text on the other side indicates that these Caleson Engineering fellas were in steam generators. I'm fairly certain that "BE 9814" was their phone number -- "BE" being BElmont, on the east side of town. The use of letters instead of numbers means this is probably from before 1960. The use of 4 digits instead of 5 means it's probably closer to WWII!

Man, oh, man -- steam generators! All this computer engineering business I got caught up in is only suitable for us noodle-armed types who can't properly spin a Stillson wrench. :D
